Creative Writing and Revisions

After my midterm book was due, I was eager to see the revisions. This week I have been focusing on revising my Capstone book, floorplans, and general writing. I am taking not only a focus class that allows us to speak to a Professor about layouts, but I am take a writing about design class as well. In that class, we have brought in layouts, concept statements, and just general writing. We go through critiques much like studio which has greatly improved my content. I have a new perspective on the relationship of text to pictures, as well as other opinions than just the Interior Design seniors and professors. We are going to continue to bring in content for the writing class, so I will be able to bring in more descriptions and statements from my book.

Lighting Ideas

These are lighting choices for the first and second floor. For the first floor, the theme is futuristic and the top floor is industrial. I wanted the fixtures to compliment eachother on both floors.

Furnishings

For my furnishings, I want to do very modern/futuristic themed items on the bottom floor. Here are a few pieces I am going to use for seating arrangements. They are all very geometric, and will match some of the light fixtures on the first and second floor.

Final Logo

The final logo I chose to use incorporated both the 'indie' style of the eye image, as well as the sophistication and boldness of the text. The text creates an implied square shape around the eye, making the logo clean and striking.
