Logo Precedent Research

This logo is successful because of the clarity, hierarchy ofthe brand name, and it is dynamic. It causes the viewer tomove all around the logo due to the lines and is balanced by the coloredcrown symbol. Using just black lettering makes this logo simple, and the addition of small blocks of color in the circle add sophistication that mirrors the ‘Regal’ name.





This logo is successful because it is simple and striking. The red color font is very dynamic but focused because of the singularity of the color. The smooth, graphiti-like font displaying “AMC” moves the eye around while it rests upon a statuesque and spaced out “theatres” line that grounds the logo.







This logo is successful because it is very stylized, and literal. It shows repetition while drawing the eye down the logo. The text is very clear while still showing a style that is mimicked in the graphic. I think it is successful, but not as successful as the other logos I examined-it doesn’t have the sophistication or transcendence of the more famous logos.
